Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period Porcelain Wucai Vase W/Celestial Garden Scenes & Chameleon Form Handles - This piece is a porcelain vase made during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty of China. The vase is elaborately decorated in the wucai style, with celestial garden scenes of a family gathering. The vase is decorated in blue underglaze and multi colored enamels. The neck of the vase is decorated with a scene of a couple with a baby, and is finished with chameleon form handles. The chameleon symbolizes patience, stability, perception and determination. The base is decorated with a scrolled, floral pattern surrounding the perimeter of the piece. The vase bears the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period marking in blue underglaze, and is in excellent condition. Measures 15"H x 7"W (handle to handle) x 27.5" in circumference.
