Japanese Meiji Period Hand Forged 40" Bronze Oil Lamp W/High Relief & Incised Crane & Sparrow Motif - This piece is a hand forged, Japanese Meiji period bronze oil lamp, believed to be circa 1882. The lamp is elaborately decorated with a high relief continuous scene depicting cranes in flight at the top of the piece, and sparrows perching on branches on the neck.
