A late Victorian gold mounted Tassie intaglio brooch, by Benzie of Cowes, depicting the profile of a classical lady in brown glass to a rope border. 28 x 23mm, 8.18g, together with a Continental gold oval lapis lazuli brooch, with an applied fret motif similar to Meroitic script. 35 x 25mm, 12.07g, and a painted miniature brooch, depicting a lady in Elizabethan costume, beneath a glazed cover to an ornate silver and gold faced frame. 33 x 23, 6.29g (3) Condition report: Surface marks to the intaglio. Scratches and marks consistent with its age. Marks the pin, unidentified. Tarnished. Some gemstones deficient - too small to test, possibly zircon. Closed back settings.
