An Edwardian aquamarine, diamond and pearl swag necklace, c.1910, with a later aquamarine pendant drop. An oval mixed cut aquamarine claw set to a white gold articulated collet, surmounted with an old European cut diamond in silver cut down collet, and a trefoil of smaller old European cut diamonds, with a rose cut diamond grain set to a sprig collet. Trace link chain swags at each side, the bottom row with wire set pearls, untested, the top row with alternating wire set pearls, untested, and old European cut diamonds in silver clawed collets, to split trace link chain and half solid bolt ring. Tested as approximately sterling silver, 9ct gold, 18ct gold and platinum. 520mm long, 9.91g Condition report: Aquamarine drop is a later replacement. Aquamarine collet tested as approximately 18ct gold. Diamond collets tested as approximately sterling silver backed in 9ct gold. Chain and bolt ring tested as approximately platinum. Have not tested the wire to the pearls. The ring to the bottom of the trefoil of diamonds is worn. Silver tarnished. Surface marks/scratches to metal.
