A ladies' 18ct gold Rolex 'Prima' watch, c.1929, with later 9ct gold bracelet. A rectangular case 25 x 15mm, with a silvered dial, Arabic numerals and spade hands, to plain bezel and case sides with wheatear engraving. The case back engraved 'Presented to Mrs. C. J. Johnson, Ladies Festival, 22.1.1929'. To a later mesh bracelet with slide clasp. Case back interior marked Rolex, ratchet wheel marked Rolex Prima. Case no. 15088. Case hallmarked Glasgow, import hallmark 1924, bracelet marked 9ct. 19.78g. No box or papers Condition report: Currently running. No guarantee as to timekeeping or continued running. Crown winds and hands set. Some discolouration to dial. Scratches to perspex and case. A couple of dents to the case sides. Bracelet links broken in two places, broken links sharp. Some kinks elsewhere to a bracelet. A copy of the menu and order of proceedings for the event at which the watch was presented to Mrs C Johnson, on 22 January 1929. Her husband C.S. Johnson was the worshipful master that year - hence the presentation to his wife. Signatures on the back of many present.
