An early 19th century pearl and diamond snake pendant, suspended on a later bale and chain. The drop shaped pearl, untested, damaged, peg set to a cap, formed from a coiled snake and grain set with graduated rose cut diamonds. A later eyelet, bale and curb chain. Pendant 26.00 x 9.10mm, 6.24g Condition report: Damage to the nacre at the round end of the pearl. Two rose cut diamonds deficient. Cap tested as silver possibly continental. Eyelet tested as platinum. Bale tested as platinum. Chain tested as platinum. Bolt ring marked 15c. Very dirty and tarnished. Loss of layers of nacre.
