Portrayed with traditional iconography, based on a Greek original dating to the Hellenistic period, the bronze bust sits atop a large rectangular black marble stone base. The bust has a large frontal engraving that reads "Homere" and further marked with a foundry stamp on the back that reads "Syndicat des Fabr. de Bronzes 1818. Unis France". CIRCA: 1818.
