New Kingdom-Ptolemaic Period, 1550-30 BC. A group of four amulets comprising: a carved stone double ostrich plume amulet with pierced lug to the reverse, (Late Dynastic Period, 25th-31st Dynasty, 715-332 BC); two faience menat amulets with ribbed suspension loops, (New Kingdom-Ptolemaic Period, 1550-30 BC); a fourth faience amulet with ribbed suspension loop, unidentified, possibly Bes seated in an archway; each accompanied by a custom-made display stand. See Andrews, C., Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.80, fig. 81, and pp.96-97, for comparable examples of ostrich plume amulets. 51 grams total, 45-49mm including stand (1 3/4 - 2").
