An Early 20th Century Continental Silver Neff. The elaborate centre piece modelled in the form of a three masted galleon with an anchor hung from the bow sprit. The ovoid hull embossed with wood-grained planking banded with scroll work, and emblazoned with an ornamental oval panel either side depicting a cherub riding on the back of a dolphin blowing a nautilus shell. The masks flying pennants to the top with billowing sails enriched with engraving, with crew climbing the rigging to reach the basket-weave crows' nests. The ship elevated on the tails of a pair of dolphins above an oval moulded base with small winged dolphin head supports, and mounted upon an onyx marble plinth with a silvered presentation plaque to the front inscribed 'Walter Warburton from Archibald Calder 1926', enclosed by a glazed display case. The silver neff 16" (41 cm) high, the case 21" (53 cm) high, 14" (36 cm) wide, 8" (20 cm) deep.
