A Qianlong Blue & White Octagonal Tureen & Cover. The domed lid with stapled repairs, decorated with kites amidst sprays of flowers within a trellis border swagged in floral chains, and surmounted by a crested scroll knop finial. The base painted with tree peonies and having moulded flower head handles to the sides, on a raised foot 9" (23 cm) high, 13¾" x 8¾" (35 cm x 22 cm).
