An English gilt-brass mounted tortoiseshell box, c.1900, by Asprey, the lid with red velvet border inset with a painted ivory panel of Leda and the Swan signed Hardy, the kingwood veneered interior signed ASPREY LONDON, 23cm wideThe gilt mounts are quite dull and tarnished. The velvet border to the lid is worn. There is a approx 3cm vertical split to the ivory picture by Leda's left foot. Otherwise, good condition overall.
