An Italian silver Christ Pantocrator in repoussé, 12th centurySilver embossed image of Christ on his throne with large halo (soldered) and richly decorated gown with fine gold inlays, one hand raised in blessing, the other holding the New Testament. Fastening pins on the reverse. Height 16.5 cm.Provenance: Purchased in 2018 from a Belgian antique dealer, previously owned by the antiquary Michel Koenig, before that a part of the collection of the author Henri Vernes (actually Charles-Henri Dewisme).
