A Greek black figured lebes (cauldron), 6th century A Corinthian lebes on a medium-high foot. The shoulder of the wine vessel decorated with black animal figures such as a swan, panthers and chickens. The handles in stylised volute form are glued. Chips and minor bumps on the rim and foot. Otherwise intact without additions. Length 24 cm. Height 11.5 cm. Rare vessel form! Provenance: Rhenisch private collection.Condition: II -
