A Roman hexagonal bottle, 2nd - 4th centuryAn exquisite Roman hexagonal bottle made of light greenish glass. The vessel with a single applied handle extending from the top of the rim to the shoulder. The base with a stylised six-pointed blossom and letters pressed in through a moulded plate. Colourless, slightly greenish glass. The surface slightly iridescent. A large shard expertly glued in the area of the neck and mouth. Height 22 cm. Diameter 8.5 cm. Provenance: From a Rhenish private collection.Condition: II -
