A large Viking bronze disc, 9th - 11th centuryFlat decorative disc whose overlapping ends are riveted. The opening inside is covered by a second, small disc. It is attached to the larger one by means of an eyelet. The rim of the larger disc is decorated with three rows of bosses. Both plates decorated with further bosses and geometric patterns in tremolo stitch. Exquisite patina! Isolated small losses at the rim. Diameter 13 cm. Provenance: South German private collection.
