A chip-carved stone incense burner formed with a cuboidal body, four squat legs and a deep recess to the upper face, each panel decorated with a chip-carved geometric floral design within a border with concave sides, dashed lines to the rim. 271 grams, 62mm (2 1/2"). From an important North West London collection; acquired in the late 1980s-early 1990s; published in the 1986 'Sternberg' catalogue; accompanied by copies of the relevant 'Sternberg' catalogue pages.
