A rare pink and black mottled stone cylinder seal with incuse frieze composed of cows standing amongst buildings, characters or symbols in rectangular panels in the field, pierced for suspension; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 40.3 grams, 41mm (1 1/2"). From the collection of a deceased gentleman, by descent to the family, pre 1988; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.11013-181787.
