A bronze zoomorphic pendant formed as a pair of addorsed horse-heads in profile with suspension loop above and pierced median column; bar below with six short pendant chains each terminating in a jingle; Mordvinian type; mounted on a custom-made display stand. Cf. Sedov, B.B., Finno-Ugri i Balti v Epokhi Srednevekovija, Moscow, 1987, pl.LI (1"). 132 grams total, 17.5cm including stand (7"). From the family collection of a UK gentleman, by descent in the early 1970s; previously acquired before 1960. Condition Report Fine condition.
