A large Chinese blue and white general jar dating from the early 19th century. The body features a pair of dragons chasing a flaming pearl over a wave motif. The shoulder has four beast head handles. Dimensions are: 19 inches tall X 14 inches wide, 48.3 cm X 35.6 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is glaze loss to the handles and to the rim. The interior has a star crack.
