A pair of Chinese hardwood panels with inlaid porcelain plaques dating from the 19th century. Each panel has five blue and white plaques depicting various subjects including birds, figures, landscapes, and scholarly objects. Dimensions are: the largest plaque measures 9 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 22.9 cm X 12.7 cm, while each hardwood panel measures 62 inches tall X 12 1/2 inches wide, 157.5 cm X 31.8 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: One plaque has been repaired and overpainted. The rest of the plaques are in overall good condition. The panels have some separation at the seams as well as cracking due to humidity. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
