此器敞口，浅弧腹，圈足，内外均施蓝釉，上绘黄彩五爪龙纹。居中巨龙赶珠，龙体腾空跃起，五爪大张，来势凶猛。内外壁为双龙赶珠，威武凛凛。此盘笔风酣畅，形制规整，盘底落"大清道光年制"六字三行篆书款。
蓝地黄龙品种创始于清康熙时期，档案中曾记载："蓝地黄龙或黄地绿龙为嫔妃所用，不得愈越"。可见其制度之严，制作之讲究。
