和阗白玉质地，玉质莹润。立体圆雕一站立童子，骑竹马侧首嬉戏之态。童子圆脸丰腴，小发髻，以阴刻线琢饰五官，喜笑颜开。眉、眼、鼻、口琢饰细致。童子一手持莲花搭于后背，一手牵竹马缰绳，一副稚气未脱，天真活泼的样子。竹马头部做工写实，马身穿过童子跨下。此器形象生动精彩，题材特殊，雕琢风格模拟宋代竹马童子，实为清中期所制，工料俱佳，十分精美。
