A late George III Grand Tour Souvenir ebony work box applied with assorted hardstones including agates and jasper, of restrained sarcophagus form with partially fitted interior, Dimensions width 29cm depth 21cm height 11cm Condition Report In our opinion this casket is English made but using hardstones acquired on the Grand Tour, there is some light surface scuffing to the outside and one or two small flaws in the hardstones but overall it looks good, internally English lock to one side but no key, old velvet lining and fittings that once held inkwells or scent bottles, no labels or inscriptions.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place.
