A large Japanese ivory okimono of the seven Gods of Happiness treasure ship the Takarabune, early Showa period, the deck surmounted by the figures of the seven Immortals sailing the ship, the exterior of the ship ivory overlaid and carved in low relief with floral mon on a wall would stand carved as as waves, presentation plaque dated 1939, Dimensions Total height 42 cm, length 41 cm, slight faults Condition Report There is some occasional light staining to the Ivory on the ship. The sale is detached and has a chip to one corner and the mast is a little loose in its slot, quite grubby to surfaces and would benefit from a clean. The chain elements are knotted but should be fairly straightforward to sort out.
