A Chinese Canton enamel tripod censer, Qianlong mark and period (1736-95), finely painted with pale lime green reserves of fruit and flowers within gilded cartouches on a turquoise ground profusely decorated with flowers and scrolling foliage, applied with high scrolled handles, gilded shoulder lappets and borders, red four character ‘Qianlong Nianzhi' mark to base, Dimensions 22.5 cm high, 26 cm wide, losses to enamels Condition Report There are large patches of enamel loss to both sides of the body, below one of the handles an two of the three legs. There are patches of enamel loss between two the legs and to the inner face of both handles. Inside side there are numerous losses to the enamel with some attempted painted restoration, now discoloured or flaking. Both of the handles are slightly loose, one with a later screw fixing at the top.
