An informal silk embroidered lady's robe, crane and tiger, Late Qing, 19th century, China, A reddish purple garment with blue woven interior and dark blue-purple sleeves. Embellished with motifs in gold thread featuring a crane on the front and a tiger on the back. L 102.5 cm, W 128.5 cm, Good condition. Some wear from age and use as to be expected but no major damage or repairs noted. A name written on the inside back near the top 'John Lucas'.
