A Safavid Engraved Qibla indicator with compass and markings to Mecca and Medina, Persia, Isfahan, 17th century, Circular form with loose lid, incised with inscriptions, some bands with a punched ground, the interior with compass below with inscribed names of locations, metal frame with needle and sundial. D 4.6 cm, H 2 cm, Old repair to side of lid, otherwise in good condition.
