提要：此为余绍宋母亲七十大寿之际，向汪慎生索求画作，并让其向北平书画同行之相识者代求等。
作者简介：余绍宋（1883-1949），字越园，号寒柯，室名寒柯堂，浙江龙游人。工山水，书画篆刻俱精。曾任外务部主事、北京美专校长、法政大学教授、浙江省通志馆馆长等职。
上款简介：汪慎生（1896-1972）名溶，字慎生。安徽歙县满川村人。先后任私立京华美术专科学校和辅仁大学美术系教授。解放后任民族美术研究所副研究员、北京画院画师、院务委员等职。民国时期与陈半丁、王雪涛等齐名。
