A HANGING SCROLL PAINTING OF SAMURAI AND CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Japan, first half of the 20th century
Painted in ink and color on silk, with a silk brocade frame, and mounted as a hanging scroll, the jiku (roller ends) carved from bone. Depicted are three samurai wandering through a field of cherry blossom trees, two samurai sitting on their horses and the other one walking beside them. Signature/inscription and seal in the lower right part of the painting. The backside of the brocade frame has an inscription in the upper left corner.

Condition: Overall the painting presents very well with minor wear, and a little creasing to the painting. The mounting with wear, soiling and repairs to the upper corners.
