A HANGING SCROLL PAINTING OF TWO CARPS
Japan, 19th century.
Painted in ink and color on paper and mounted as a hanging scroll, the jiku (roller ends) carved from wood. Depicted are two carps (a symbol for strength and resilience), swimming in the water full of reeds. Signature/inscription and seals in the upper right part of the painting. The backside has an inscription in the upper left corner.

Condition: Overall the painting presents well with minor wear, a little creasing to the painting. The mounting with wear, soiling, and tears to the upper corners
