A bronze horse harness pendant formed as a barbed quatrefoil, deviceposed of a lion passant guardant/argent on a blue enamelled square field, a stylised fleur-de-lis in each arm against a red enamelled field. Cf. The Portable Antiquities Scheme, record id. WMID-2A7697, for similar. 6.86 grams, 36mm (1 1/2"). English collection formed in the 1990s. UK art market. Property of an Essex gentleman.
