A bifacial bronze bread stamp in the form of a cross, the front face depicting Christ crucified on the cross, winged angels above, the holy spear and the holy cane at His side, flanked by bts of Saint Mary and Saint John, inscribed in the corners with '??' (Meter Theou = Mother of God) and '??' (= IOHANNES); the reverse face depicting Jes Christ standing, holding a globe and cross-tipped staff, one bt of each of the four Evangelists in each arm of the cross; likely ed to stamp Holy bread. 48 grams, 75mm high (3").
