玉壶春瓶又叫玉壶春壶，其造型是由唐代寺院里的净水瓶演变而来。玉壶春瓶的造型定型于北宋时期，在当时是一种装酒的实用器具，后来逐渐演变为观赏性的陈设瓷。此瓶侈口、细长颈、圆腹、圈足。米黄色胎，细致纯净，足内施釉，胎釉结合处呈火石红。瓶外壁罩影青釉，釉下青花绘七层花纹。颈部饰蕉叶纹及覆莲纹，中间以回纹相隔。一周卷草纹下绘主题纹饰，四出如意云头中绘海水天马纹，天马奔腾于海水波涛之上，矫健灵动。中间间以折枝花卉。腹部卷草纹下绘莲瓣纹。元青花纹饰绘画方法以平涂为主，结合勾、皴、点、染技法，线条苍劲有力，显示出元代工匠高超的绘画才能。
