A Chinese jadeite statue of Buddha dating from the Republic period. The Buddha stands atop a 4-tiered lotus, his right hand held in abhaya mudra and his left hand held downward in karana mudra. Dimensions are: 8 3/4 inches tall X 3 1/4 inches wide X 3 1/8 inches deep, 22.23 cm X 8.26 cm X 7.94 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The Buddha and base elements are glued together, otherwise good condition. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
