Two Chinese carved jade plaques dating from the 18th or 19th century. Both plaques come with wooden stands. One plaque is a ruyi wand head carved with blossoming branches on rocks. The other jade is a reticulated plaque with Buddhist emblems surrounding a Shou medallion. Dimensions are: the larger ruyi jade measures 3 5/8 inches tall X 4 inches wide X 1/2 inches thick, 9.2 cm X 10.2 cm X 1.3 cm, while the smaller reticulated plaque measures 3 inches in diameter X 1/8 inches thick, 7.6 cm X 0.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The ruyi wand head plaque has chipping to the edges and to the carving, as well as natural variation to the jade. The reticulated plaque has chipping to the edges. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
