Description
Translation provided by Youdao
A Chinese yellow-ground famille rose bowl dating from the 19th century. The interior of the bowl features hulu and floral tracery on a blue ground. The exterior has three roundels with goats in landscape scenes with lingzhi. The roundels are set against a yellow ground incised with swirl patterns and with glazed scholarly object designs. Dimensions are: 3 3/4 inches tall X 9 inches in diameter, 9.5 cm X 22.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is significant chipping to the rim, firing cracks to the interior of the foot, and two small hairlines to the rim. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties. Oakridge Auction Gallery bears no responsibility for any error or omission. Provenance: From a private Philadelphia, Pennsylvania collection. Notes: High resolution photos can be found here.
