韩美林 1936年生于山东济南。1960年毕业于中央工艺美术学院。曾为安徽画院副院长等职，现为清华大学美术学院教授、校学术委员会副主任、国家一级美术师、第十二届全国政协常委、中央文史研究馆馆员。曾获“南斯拉夫第四届萨格拉布国际动漫电影节最佳美术奖”、“世界艺术家协会（美国）世界艺术贡献奖”、“总统教育奖(美国)”。曾设计北京奥运会申奥标志、吉祥物福娃、国航航徽。
Han Meiling, who –was born in Jinan, Shandong in 1936 and graduated from Central Academy of Arts and Design in 1960, is a famous Chinese artist mostly recognized today for his creation of the Fuwa dolls for the 2008 Beijing Olympics as well as the logo of Air China. At present, Han is a professor of College of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, the First-Class Artist of national-level, etc. Besides, he is also the winner of President Scholar Medal (U.S), Award of Outstanding Contribution to World Art, etc.
