A COLLECTION OF SIX CELADON WARESKorea, Goryeo Dynasty, 13th centuryComprising: a bottle vase with inlaid flower sprays decoration; a cup-mouth vase with inlayed white slip bands to the neck and shoulder; an olive celadon cup-mouth vase with iron oxide stylised trees; a bowl withsanggam decoration of peaches to the interior and chrysanthemum roundels to the exterior below bands; a moulded undecorated celadon bowl; and a small jar with a white slipruyi-head band decoration to the shoulder.The tallest: 29.8cm (11 3/4in) high (6).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: General signs of rub and wear and firing imperfections like gritting, kiln adherences and glaze pulling. Scratches to the surface, oxidation and soil remains due to burial.Olive celadon vase: half of the mouth is re-stuck with still visible cracks.Cup-mouth vase: chip restored to the mouth rim, approx. 2cm long. Firing cracks and glaze thicker drops to one side of the body.The small jar and the largest bowl are the more effected from burial to the exterior glaze.The largest bowl: at least three restored chips to the mouth rim. The biggest approx. 3cm long.Undecorated bowl: chip to the mouth rim, approx. 3cm long. Lumps of clay below the glaze.
