(2).For further information on this lot please visit theArtist or Maker: #Anglo-Chinese School, 19th CenturyCondition Report: Overall in good condition, only minor creasing and light foxing. The prunus painting has towards the bottom a cross horizontal crease which may have been retouched, although it just appeared that the areas has a slightly different colour.Provenance: Provenance: A European private collection formed in Shanghai in the early 20th century.The group of bamboo, chrysanthemum, prunus and orchid are known as the 'four gentlemen' or 'four noble ones', a beloved subject of ink and wash painting.
