Late 2nd-early 1st millennium B.C. A group of ten bronze stamp seals including six apanied by typed and signed notes by the late W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which state: (T-885) 'A Stamp Seal of Bronze, 54 x 55 x 16 mm. This is roughly round with scalloped edges. The face and back are flat, and a handle of inverted V-shape is mounted on the back. The design consists of a central Greek cross, each arm of which also serves as the arm of another Greek cross, the outer end of which extends into loops each side joining the next cross of the four. Thises from west central Asia and dates to c. 2300-2000 B.C. It is attractively made, and in very good condition. The incrustation on the surface could be removed'; (R-894) 'A Stamp Seal of Bronze, 41 x 37 x 9 mm. This is an oblong plaque with, originally, a handle mounted on the back, which is now missing. The design on the face is linear. It consists of an 90° to the sides. Three corners are covered by two V-shapes, while the fourth is different. It appears that a Greek cross covered the rest of the area, but damage at the middle obscures the matter. Thises from west central Asia and dates to c. 2300-2000 B.C. It is a rare type, and though covered with incrustation, the metal beneath appears to be in good condition. One corner is damaged in addition to a defect due to loss of the handle'; (W-157) 'A Bronze Pendant, 78 x 62 x 11 mm. This is a roughly circular hoop with suspension loop on the top, and the middle is divided into four quarters by a cross which leaves a vacant small square in the centre. The whole, save the suspension loop, is covered with globes of bronze. Thises from west central Asia and dates to c. 900-600 B.C. It is extremely rare for the coating of globules of metal, like gold granulation, but on a bigger scale. It is in very good condition'; (Q-6) 'A Stamp Seal of Bronze, 46 x 46.5 x 15 mm. In shape this is either an irregular circle or irregular square. Both face and back are flat, and a handle in mounted on the back, of inverted V-shape. The design consists of open-workpartments. In the centre are four V-shapes with the tips together, and three of these are continued to the edge with one further V-shape and then a triangle. The fourth one has a triangle only. The four spaces left by these four developments from the centre are filled with patterns of oblongs and squares, three times four such figures, once six. Thises from west central Asia and dates to c. 2300-2000 B.C. It is covered with incrustation, which could be removed. The handle is broken, but otherwise it is in good condition, and has a rare design'; (R-512) 'A Stamp Seal of Bronze, 53 x 53 x 15 mm. This is round, with flat face and flat back, on which a handle of inverted V-shape is mounted. The design is bothpartmented and open-work. The design consists of a Greek on. The four quarters left are then filled with two struts creating a triangular
