豇豆为清代颜色釉之名贵品种，倍受历代藏家珍视，拍品为康熙一朝追慕明宣德宝石红釉墩式碗所制，胎釉俱精，气韵古雅，为摹古隽品，较为难得。美国纳尔逊与阿特金斯艺术博物馆藏清康熙豇豆红釉墩式撇口碗，其形制、釉色与拍品相同，可资参阅。造型规整敦雅，内壁素白，外壁罩施豇豆红釉，釉面光洁明亮，玻璃质感强，釉色莹润婉约，犹若桃花，红中闪现星点绿苔，斑斓缤纷，正所谓“满身苔点泛于桃花春浪间”颇具天然意趣。
