A BRONZE FIGURE OF SHRI-DEVI South India, ca. 18th ct. H. 42 cm Standing in tribhanga on a lotus-base placed on a square pedestal cast with a pair of holes for supporting pin inserts, her right hand raised holding the lotus-flower while the left is stretched down along her body, wearing sari falling in pleats between her legs secured with a belt around the waist, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows running into the aquiline nose-bridge, pouting lips, elongated earlobes with pierced ear-ornaments, her hair combed in a chignon set with the kirtimakuta and a cakra-halo behind her head.
