A BRONZE FIGURE OF KRISHNA North-India, ca. 18th ct, H. 29,6 cm Standing with legs crossed on a high lotus-pedestal, his hands originally holding the flute, wearing short dhoti tied around the waist with a belt, pair of shoes finely decorated with a pin between his large and next toes, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, aquiline nose, smiling lips, pierced elongated earlobes and his hair combed into an intricate knot on top of his head.
