Fine, smooth patina.Provenance: Collection of Adalbert and Thilda Colsman, thence by descent in the same family. Adalbert Colsman (1886-1978) was a German businessman and art collector. From 1915 to 1958 he was the managing director of Conze & Colsman, a long-standing German silk producer. He was friends with several German painters and a patron of the Museum Folkwang in Essen. In 1964, he founded an art foundation together with his wife Thilda.
