此炉以商周青铜匜为本化裁而来，整作瑞兽昂天之状，腹部巧做炉膛，兽首双目圆凸，眉毛粗韧，如意形鼻饱满，阔口大张，獠牙外露，不怒自威。炉身及底点金，美不胜收，以真金炼为泥，数次浇洒于炉上，经过多道上金工艺锻炼炙成，金片厚实，葆光斑驳，大小相间，布局舒朗而随性，畅汗淋漓，使铜炉于古朴沉浑之中添增华贵雅丽之美，彰显出典雅高贵气质。
