Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico, Guerrero region, Mezcala culture, ca. 600 to 100 BCE. A collection of 40 hand carved stone beads, each pecked and polished by ancient hands, and the centers biconically drilled for suspension. These are all strung on a modern cord graduating from smallest along to several substantial beads and a hefty central pendant. While strung as a necklace, these stones could easily be restrung as one desired as individual pendants or accent beads.
