A RARE CARVED LONGQUAN CELADON JAR, GUANMING DYNASTY (1368-1644)The stoutly potted body is carved on the exterior with a band of overlapping ruyi-form clouds at the shoulder and lotus scroll in the center, all above a band of upright petals. The jar is covered inside and out with a glaze of olive-green tone ending at the foot, revealing an unglazed area which has fired dark orange and cants inward towards the inset glazed base.12 1/2 in.
