此佩取材上好白玉，巧做商周斧钺之造型。斧身左右对称，上有一龙子，中间浮雕饕餮纹饰，刀法颇为精湛，有乾隆玉工典型特征。兼有“府上有龙”之美意，为赏玩馈赠之佳品。斧钺在商代被视为权力的象征，斧形佩始于战国，盛于西汉。明清之时，尚古之风盛行，遂将其改为小型配饰，依其旧意并加饰新法，别具韵味。
