A stunning and large pottery pot with a stylized hand painted motif across the upper shoulder and neck. The piece has a globular profile with a molded ring-form foot, corseted neck, flared mouth, and slightly downturned rim. The black-on-cream decoration is a repeating motif of curvilinear registers, vertical stripes, and abstract figures with insect like bodies, and geometric shapes. This is a beautiful example of a substantial size!
