The antler is heavily polished with an anthropomorphic head carved into the finial end, used like an awl or pick for weaving; the tip is completely smoothed to prevent snagging fibers. The beater has a lanceolate blade like shape with a rounded tip and an abstract finial, this tool would push the weft threads together to ensure a tightly woven textile.
